Fatality inquiry dates postponed
Edmonton... The inquiries into the deaths of Sharla Marie Collier and a 15-year-old female identified as D.B. have been rescheduled. The May dates have been cancelled. The new dates are:

On November 16, 2002, Sharla Collier was found in a wooded area a short distance from the group home at which she worked. The cause of death was blunt force injuries to the head. |
Public inquiries held under the Fatality Inquiries Act are limited to establishing the cause, manner, time, place and circumstances of death, as well as the identity of the deceased. The judge may make recommendations on the prevention of similar occurrences but is prohibited, under the act, from making findings of legal responsibility
