THE APPEALS SECRETARIAT

If your benefits have been denied, changed or cancelled under the following programs then you have the right to appeal the decision.

• Alberta Works Income Support, including training benefits

• Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH)

• Alberta Seniors Benefit

• Special Needs Assistance for Seniors

You can also appeal if your application or renewal for the Alberta Child Health Benefit (ACHB), or your renewal for the Alberta Adult Health Benefit (AAHB) is denied because of your income.

Decisions about the cost-sharing arrangement under Alberta Aids to Daily Living may also be appealed.

Appeals with respect to adult facilities under the Social Care Facilities Licensing Act may also be appealed.

The Appeals Secretariat is here to help you if you do not agree with a decision and want to appeal it.
